  • I’ve Been Arrested For DUI. Will I Lose My License?

    If convicted of DUI, your license may be suspended. For first offenses, your license will be suspended from 90 days to 1 year. If you are second time offender, your license will be suspended from 2 years to 900 days. If this is your third offense, your license may be suspended for 3 to 4 years. In all three cases, you will be required to install an ignition interlock device in your vehicle.

  • What Is A Felony DUI?

    In the state of Washington, if you have committed 4 or more DUI offenses within the past 10 years, you may be charged with felony DUI. Additionally, if you have had previous alcohol-related vehicular assaults or vehicular homicide convictions, you will likely be charged with felony DUI. Penalties for felony DUI can include a $10,000 fine and up to 5 years in jail.

  • If I Was Lawfully Prescribed Medication, Can I Still Be Charged With DUI?

    Regardless if the drug was medically prescribed, you can still be charged with DUI if your blood test confirms that your BAC percentage is over the legal limit. When taking lawfully prescribed medications such as Valium or Xanax, your driving ability may still be impaired. It is imperative that every driver exercise sound judgment and be aware of his or her limits.

  • If Convicted Of DUI, Will I Be Sent To Jail?

    Depending on the severity of your offense and number of prior DUI offenses, jail time will vary. If your BAC percentage was over .15% and this was your first offense, you may be sent to jail for a mandatory minimum of 24 hours up to 1 year. If this was your second offense, you may be sent to jail for 30 days up to a year. Third time offenders may be sentenced with 90 days up to 1 year in jail.
